Love Shack makes his triumphant return!

Lancaster says he was in the locker room after the game, and Gosling was already optioned back to Louisville. Should be officially called up before tomorrow's game.

Now all I need is some Wags back with the team.

I’m not surprised. I read an article on the Reds’ website earlier today that made it sound like they would have called up Shackelford instead of Gosling to begin with if Shack hadn’t pitched the last two nights and wasn’t available today. Otherwise, he’s been the best reliever in Louisville (1-0, 1.29 ERA in seven games). The article quoted Narron as saying they called up Gosling because they “needed somebody with some length today.”

Well, gotta admit, they got length from Gosling, alright – 493 feet, they got. That being how far Reggie Abercrombie’s homer off Gosling is estimated to have travelled.

I also read where that Dan Uggla threw a ball into a camera well today to giftwrap a run for the Reds. Hopefully RHM saw it, or reads about it before she writes her game wrap. That’s a name that’s tailor-made for poking fun of…especially when he uncorks such a butt-Uggla throw.
