I know *I* certainly have taken issue with a few of Narron’s activities, and I was hoping to foster the kind of warm, trusting environment where Rich would feel comfortable telling us, in detail, what a blockhead he is.

But he was very dipolmatic, darn it all. That’s a wily veteran for you.

First of all, I think it’s very cool that Rich was willing to do the interview. Good job, RHM and thanks Rich for giving the time to talk to a fan, even though it might have been riskier than talking to a sports writer (though I doubt it, those guys are shady).

It sounded to me like he at the very least will be turning down his side of the option. That’s probably a smart move on his part because someone will give him more money, if not more years as well.

I thought it was interesting that he didn’t really address the issue between he and Jerry, just the fact that it got out. I’m intrigued by what really happened. Who’s at fault on this one or is this just a normal clubhouse tiff like he sort of implies?

I think Bronson Arroyo will continue to give us things to talk about, especially as people begin to see the light and stop worshipping him. Jason LaRue is always good for an indignant comment or two. But yeah, you’re right: we’ll hurt without The Bad Man to talk about.

For better or worse, Rich was probably the most discussed player on the Reds for the past two years. If he leaves, what the heck are we going to talk about?
