If Hamilton continues to play well, I believe the job will be his before too long and Freel will be back to super-subbing four days a week. And not a moment too soon. The way that Gonzalez has been playing lately, Freel is starting to look like our best option at short. Which I've long expected. There's more than Jeff Conine to back up the OF. There's Hamilton. And it's Hamilton's emergence that doomed Deno and Hopper (and Bubba).
