0-3 in the Bottom of Two

Walked into the room in the top of the first and couldn't believe that the Reds weren't down yet. I mean, it is Bronson Arroyo on the mound after all.

Even more surprising, given the above-mentioned pitching situation, the Reds scored in the bottom of the inning. As I sit here, nursing a sore knee (I've been overexerting it since I've been working downtown) and trying to convince a slightly-wheezy but no longer really sick 6-year-old to take it easy lest he relapse, our boys are up 0-3 in the top of the third. That tall drinka water that Dodgers have run out to the mound just got on base. Better start paying attention.

Arroyo gets out of trouble in the third. Sort of hard to tell what’s going on in the game since FSN is using this opportunity to give us a lesson on how to get a Purple Heart.

Phillips gets to do his sideways home run trot as his knocks number 21 over the wall. To the bonus commentary about Korea.

The Reds are now up 0-4 while I was checking off things on my to-do list. It’s nice to see the Reds mysteriously [em]getting[/em] runs when I’m not paying attention.

Glad the 6-year old’s getting better, RHM. I think your knee is just that you’re having sympathy pains for Ryan Freel, though.

Wow, a shutout. I can’t remember the Reds’ pitching staff came up with one of those. And hey, they’re now up two whole games on the Pirates!

I was going to look up the last time the Reds pitched a shutout, but for some reason Baseball Reference flatly refuses to load the page right now.

I’ve had knee problems before. It’s from overuse. I just started a job downtown, so I have to park 10-minutes away from the building. Plus, I have a weird thing about parking garage elevators, so I’d been taking the 4-6 flight of stairs. Plus, the elevators in the building I’m working in are flaky, so I’d been taking a few flights during the day as well. And on top of all that, I tried to start jogging.

To sum up, I’ve been overdoing it, and now I have to hop up the stairs in my house on my hands and left foot. It’s hot.
