Griffey’s on the Ground

Ken Griffey, Jr. just slipped in right field at Wrigley and is now rolling around on the grass, holding his groinal area.

Wait, just saw the replay, and it didn't look like he slipped after all. They're thinking maybe he did it during his last AB and is suffering from a twinge now.

Damn, he's still on the ground, even after all the typos I've already corrected. Smart money says he's gotta be done for the year.

In case anyone had illusions that Griffey would get to 600 home runs before the season was up.

It occurs to me that it could be the last time we see Griffey on the field for the Reds. Though I’m not sure what the Reds could get for him injured. Perhaps the Yanks would be interested?

This sucks. Griffey’s hurt, Dunn got screwed by the officials, and the Reds lost.

This is what it’s going to take, Cubs fans. Abandon all hope, ye who enter here! Yar!

And Tom Shearn didn’t get the win. Dammit!

Plus, they’re now mathematically eliminated. This freaking night just keeps getting better.

And that was the Gary Majewski we’ve all come to know and love. Nice work, Gary… this is a real great season you are having. Can anyone remember the last time a pitcher with a 7+ ERA got so many 8th inning opportunities in SEPTEMBER for Christ’s sake? And let’s not kid ourselves there were important games down the stretch the past couple of months that Gary got the call.. and yea I know we have a horrible pen, but this guy has DONE NOTHING! Krivsky has really buried his own stock by not just trading for this good-for-nothin bum, but by allowing him to stay on the roster and by allowing him to be used in important game-turning situations. BOOOOOO!
