Dammit, Harang, why don’t YOU do that??

Cubs’ ace Carlos Zambrano has just completed the first complete game no-hitter since…well, not that long ago when you consider the team we’re talking about. Still, pretty cool.
Just when you think you have baseball figured out, something like this happens.
The Astros had won 14 of their last 15. Zambrano hadn’t pitched since Sept. 2 because of rotator cuff tendonitis.
So what happens? The ‘Stros get only two balls out of the infield all night, while Zambrano gets the first no-no by a Cubs pitcher since 1972.
Then Lilly almost does it again the next night. What a story this would be if it weren’t for Mark Loretta and that damned Texas league single to right in the seventh!
