Not Even Bora$ Can Help Him Now

Everyone’s favorite crappy outfielder Corey Patterson has switched agents. Apparently, Patterson had been represented by Scott Boras, the agent notorious for filling his client’s wallets with all sorts of mad cash. But apparently not even the mighty Boras can magically turn a 23% Not-Out Percentage into a Major League Baseball contract, and C-Pat is looking for greener pastures.

A year too late, I’m afraid.

Speaking of guys who are gone – I’m seeing reports that Hopper, Belisle, and Majewski have been non-tendered and are now free agents.

I can see it with Majewski and Belisle, but Hopper can handle a bat and get on base, is a capable defender, and could have at least made a usable bench piece. OTOH, he has no power to speak of. I guess the Reds can still sign him back off the free agent market.
