I don’t suppose the 10-run rule applies. I’m tired and could use the rest. Not to mention that any way to get around the Narron having to “manage” the Reds “bullpen” sounds like a good idea to me.
If they could take those surplus runs and go back in time we could manufacture another 12 wins or so.
Similiarly, the pythagorean win/loss at baseball-reference.com has us only 6 games under .500 at 34-40. Our pythagorean when compared to Pitt’s has us ahead of them in the standings.
Wow! What a run-fest.
The pythagorean win-loss formula is an interesting one. I think that this year it simply shows how, to this point, the team has been so poorly managed.
Even so, there’s an optimistic part of me that would love to see them go on a double-digit win streak and take this division. It’s there for the taking for whomever wants it. And the Reds have the talent to do it, just not the management.
