Lay Off the Low Ones

Lay off the low ones.

Here's a screen shot of David Ross's at-bat in the inning immediately after he dropped Derek Lee's foul ball in yesterday's game against the Cubs. You think perhaps he was pressing a bit?

You would think that for someone who is struggling for playing time, he would have been much more focused both on the defensive end and on the offensive end in only the second game of the season. A career .210 hitter, if he cannot provide defensive help, he is of no use to this team at all.

Great find, RHM. Thanks for the post.

Having watched Ross play for a good chunk of last year, that’s not all too surprising. He just really isn’t a good hitter at all, by any measure.
