Game 52: Reds at Cardinals

Reds Lineup:

  • Cabrera, SS
  • Cairo, 1B
  • Phillips, 2B
  • Rolen, 3B
  • Gomes, LF
  • Bruce, RF
  • Stubbs, CF
  • Hernandez, C
  • Arroyo, P

Cardinals Lineup:

  • Lopez, SS
  • Ludwick, RF
  • Pujols, 1B
  • Holliday, LF
  • Freese, 3B
  • Rasmus, CF
  • Molina, C
  • Schumaker, 2B
  • Garcia, P

I’m inordinately sad to see Cairo in the line-up again. :( I hope the rest of the team can cheer me up. Nick Lachey on the Cincinnati Bell commercial isn’t hurting, either.

This game has become tedious. I never thought I’d be more interested in reading homework than watching the Reds.

  2. Rocktman65 says:

    I’ve heard that he does.

  3. Rocktman65 says:

Well, being down 4 runs tends to do that, or maybe it’s that I am that boring. LOL

  4. Rocktman65 says:

Wow, Fisher is batting, Dusty is at it again.

  5. Amanda says:

Rocktman, certainly the boringness that is going on here is not your doing :)

I think it may be that I’m fresh out of sighs. I can only sigh s much in one game without passing out, and the bottom of the last few innings have gotten me pretty lightheaded.

  7. Rocktman65 says:

Well, that’s good to know. :D

  8. Amanda says:

The Reds *used to* have a defense, right?

  9. Amanda says:

    or am I hallucinating that?

  10. Rocktman65 says:

This one especially. That was just ugly.

  11. Rocktman65 says:

Well, they did up until about 5 games ago. Of course, we’ve been hearing this one all season, “just out of Cabrera’s reach”

  12. Amanda says:

Normally I would be so excited about a Stubbs triple.

  13. Amanda says:

I’m sort of surprised that Arroyo didn’t insist on Miller for his catcher today. Historically, when there’s one native Spanish-speaking catcher and one native English-speaking catcher, he’s always insisted on the English speaker.

  14. Rocktman65 says:

I was surprised about that too, Hernandez hasn’t caught him in almost a year I believe. Other than maybe once in spring training.

  15. Rocktman65 says:

And if this is the result of Hernandez catching him, I hope it’s the last time we see it happen.
