Blog Buzz

Reds Blogs
Marc at Cincinnati Reds has a whole new look that I thoroughly do not approve of. Not his fault, I realize, but ick nonetheless.

JinAZ takes some off time to discuss the usage of Todd Coffey. Long story short, he says not to make Coffey the closer but to put him in the most important situations.

Redleg Nation would have had an interview with Wayne Krivsky if not for a malfunctioning audio recorder. Sure. And I would have had an exclusive interview with Bronson Arroyo if I could just learn how to fly up to his cloud.

Scouting the Competition
pbr at Plunk Biggio (a blog “Dedicated to Craig Biggio and his (probably unintentional) Quest to break the all time major league career record for getting hit by pitches”) doesn't have much to say about the upcoming series, but probably will after Friday's game. Brandon Claussen hit three batters in a game as recently as April 7, so that ought to be right up his alley.

Lisa Gray at The Dugout runs the MVN Astros blog doesn't have anything to say about the upcoming series either. Don't these people know that the Battle for First in the NLC is upon us??

rastronomicals of The Crawfish Boxes also says nothing about the upcoming series. Jeepers, what a bunch of slackers. If the bloggers are any indication, the Reds ought to take this series easily.

I completely concur with you on Marc’s new layout. Far less tight and clean than the old site. -j

  2. Red Hot Mama says:

Yeah. I feels like you never leave the paper. It’s branding overload. And the fly-out ads on the right are massively annoying.

  3. Joel says:

Hey, I love the double-parenthetical. Did they teach you that at your fancy-schmancy writing school?

  4. Ouch. Calling me a liar….

  5. Red Hot Mama says:

Oh no, Chad. Not a liar [em]per se[/em].

It’s just that I wouldn’t define reprinting Krivsky quotes from the newspaper and then responding to them with a one-sentence comment of your own as an “interview.”

    😀

  6. pbr says:

hey… first George Will tells me to get out more, and now you call me a slacker?
    I can’t win.

  7. Red Hot Mama says:

Welcome pbr! Always a pleasure to cavort with the enemy.

So, they plunked Biggio in what, the third? That means your guys are going down, right? Or is it the fact that Oswalt is resorting to throwing behind guys like Phillips that indicates that?

  8. In my head, it was an interview. 🙂

Seriously, Krivsky really surprised me when he agreed to the interview, and I was impressed with the guy after talking to him. Of course, I was more than a little embarrassed when I found out later that the recorder hadn’t worked. That’s my luck, I guess.
