Episode 21: Playoffs, Awards, and Uneducated Rants

We're going to try moving the podcasts to Mondays to see if I can actually get them out on a more regular basis. It's remarkable how difficult it is to get your booty out of bed to record audio on a Saturday morning.

This week, the Crack Technical Staff and I discuss the Reds play-off hopes as well as contenders for all the awards that come up this time of year.

This week we introduce a new segment that I hope to make a regular feature: Ignorant and Inflammatory. It's the point of view of an ignorant person who gets all inflamed about something they don't understand. This week: the non-renewal of Steve Stewart's contract.

Also, the podcast is proud to introduce a voicemail line where you can call in and leave a message to be featured on the podcast. It ought to be a local call to those in the Cincinnati area, so call any time, day or night, and leave your thoughts on the Reds, podcasting, or how sexy you think my voice sounds. You may just hear yourself on next week's podcast. P.S. – Drunk dialing is encouraged!

That number is (513) 729-7106.

We finish out this week's show with 30-seconds of Gimmetheball by the Psychodots from Cincinnati Clutch Hits.

HunGin651 and Gapper – Welcome to RHM! Glad to have you here.

I got Raquel Aurilia to call in by e-mailing her and asking her to. She recorded it when we did this podcast interview.

I’d already interviewed her in writing last year. I made that connection by going to her webpage (http://www.raquelaurilia.com/) and tracking down an e-mail address. Plus, I hung with her a little in spring training.

Rich Aurilia does a lead-in as well. To get that one, I ran up to him outside a restaurant in Sarasota with my digital recorder and asked him to record it there on the spot. Boy, was that a rush!
