Screenshots of Little Consequence

I haven't the time tonight to write up anything properly humorous; however, I did take a couple screenshots today that amused me, so I thought I'd share.

Return of a Former Team
Along the same lines as that Return of a Former Red post over at RLN, this story in the Enquirer resurrects a team now gone.

Cruz, How Could You?
This shot from the Gameday had me wondering whether the Reds had pulled that trading-a-guy-in-the-middle-of-a-game trick. Those would be Bowden-caliber shenanigans, for sure.

Felipe Lopez Jr.? He has a son, who plays baseball? Is he good, like Griffey?

I saw the same thing during the GameDay. Lots of confusion, especially after Jacob Cruz replaced Carrasco and then Carrasco still managed to pop out to short stop. And predictably, the game froze for a few minutes as the technician tried to clean up the problem. But the rest of us were stuck wondering what sort of armageddon was taking place at the ball field.

Oh, and the Felipe Lopez we know and love is Felipe Lopez Jr. Search through the RHM archives. She’s done the research for us already.

Remarkable how often mention of Felipe’s children has come up around here.

No, as I understand it, Felipe has no son. And if he did, I kind of doubt he would have named him Felipe. And if he did, the son would be Felipe III, not Jr, since our Felipe is already the Jr, as described here.

He does have a couple daughters, though. Maybe we’ll see them playing in 20 years.
