Reds Smoke Pirates, 11-2

After yesterday's game I was thinking I might not get the chance to use that headline, and that would have been a real shame.

We were planning to go to today's game, but after Jon got a wild hair up his butt to see the 11 p.m. showing of Episode III last night, there was just no way we would have made it all the way to Cincy this morning conscious. Instead, we hit upon the brilliant idea to catch the Louisville Bats play the Indianapolis Indians at Victory Field in Indianapolis tomorrow. Not only are they playing at night so we'll be able to head down there as soon as the Reds' game is over, but we'll also get to see Wily Mo Peña play, AND it's $1 hot dog day!

What more could you want in life?

If you haven't been over to see Joel's latest bid for the Reds' Funniest Blogger Award, go check it out. After today's game, we can already see that Brandon Claussen's bionic arm is performing even better than expected.

    There’s an award?!?!?!

Damnit! I thought I was doing all of this in a consequence free environment. Now I have the pressure of living up to expectations. I’ll probably get a letter from my family telling me how disappointed they are in me when I lose, just like in kindergarten.

And if you are in the competition there’s no way I can win. It takes me like 3 whole days of work to come up with this crap. And let me tell you, when my company figures out what I am doing during office hours, I’m screwed.

I’m sorry, but I can’t handle this kind of pressure. I’m going to have to bow out of this gracefully, if it’s not too late already.

    I think I’m gonna be sick…

Just relax, man. You’ve got nasty stuff. You can do this.

Besides, I’m not the one you have to worry about. Did you catch the latest Reds Mailbag on the Official Site? I think Mr. Castrovince is our new common enemy. Let’s gang up on him; I’m sure we can take him together.
