I can't bear to leave that New Year's post at the top of my page any longer, so here are a few tidbits in bullet formation:

• I'm pleased to have added The Big Red Mechanic to the Reds blogs list.
• Shawn is looking ahead at the catching, infield, and outfield. The pitching is all that's left, so it could get ugly pretty soon.
• JD has announced the winners of his Sports Blog Awards, if you're into that kind of thing.
• An item for your Ummmm…OK file, rumor has it that the Pirates are interested in Sammy Sosa. More power to 'em. Metaphorically, of course.
